Telehealth Appointments Now Available!
We know that there’s widespread concern in our community about the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and we want you to know that your health is our top priority. We also recognize the challenges this presents for many people and the importance for continuance of care.
We are pleased to announce the option to schedule Telehealth (video) appointments in place of in-office appointments. This means we can now meet from your home, your office, – basically, from wherever you have access to the Internet.
Why are we offering this new service?
- Telehealth minimizes the inconvenience of travel time and associated costs. We wanted to ease the stress that clients may experience just traveling to our office for treatment. Things like snow, rain, traffic, getting childcare, health concerns, etc. can make traveling even short distances challenging. Telehealth appointments minimize the inconvenience of travel time and associated costs.
- The benefits of Telehealth are supported by research. Research has found that video therapy is as effective as in-person therapy.
- Most major insurance companies cover Telehealth appointments. If you’re interested in pursuing this option, let us know and we can investigate whether you’re eligible for coverage.
- Telehealth requires no special software or technical skills. All you need is a computer, tablet (with an integrated camera) or smart phone. It’s as simple as that.
